Ok, so I was no fan of "Why beer is better than girls" or "Why cars are better than girlfriends". I was like - come on guys how can you compare a non living thing to a living thing.
I guess I was wrong. Well I recently had a fight with my girl friend and had a one-sided break up (Well she said not to call her again and I took it literally. Stupid me - when did a message start meaning what it said especially when it comes from your girl friend)
Anyway the point is that after the break up, I curled up in bed, chatted with an old dear friend of mine and discovered books - ah my long lost love. (Well they didnt accuse me of breaking up without telling them). So inspired by their good nature (and knowledge), I decided to compile a list of why books are better than girlfriends.
I request you, my dear friends to post in the comment section on why you think books are better than girlfriends. The top ten comments would be published in a poster which I will give all of you gratis and sell the rest to other book lovers.

They dont accuse you of sleeping with another book
You can have hundreds of them, and still go and get one more, The hundreds wont accuse you - nor will the government come after you for violating the civil code
(a) You can shut them if you've had enough of a topic
(b) You can multi-task and they won't mind u not giving them ur full attention
(c) You can read multiple books simultaneaously without being accused of cheating :)
Books convey literally what they mean; unlike women who have hidden agenda at all times.
because books can make u laugh..whereas without any exception u always need to make ur gf laugh...
a)They don't argue.
b)You can keep them back in shelves if you don't like the chapters.
c)Language is simple and easier to understand.
Your mom does not feel threatened by them
They talk to you in "non female" language and u can take their words literally :)
Book is a one time investment unlike the other (a daily one).
They have various comments about them on the back cover, a prologue which tells u what the contents are about and Table of contents to see what the book has on offer. And it has fixed price and no regular investments are required.
They dont turn green when they see other books

You can tell exactly what you feel about them, without any consequences....
Some other views:
a) All books can go in single shelf and be your part... however, with one GF, rest all in your life go apart.
b) With books, it helps you have a nice sleep (reading and sleeping), whereas with GF, the more u read, the more u become sleepless :p
c) Books can come anywhere, GF's full nautanki.
d) Books dont question ur memory, read it forget it, GF's ha ha ha...
You can have almost any book out there that you want [:P], not in case of GF's, you have to be lucky enough to be wanted
